JLR is situated in a picturesque forest (right outside of Mullica Hill NJ) and is the perfect spot for homeschoolers and preschoolers. We are an all weather program: unplugged, building, creating, discovery, collaborating, nature appreciation - all taking place with our staff.
It is our hope that our program
will provide each participant a new found appreciation of nature and each other.
With the ever-growing reliance on technology and the decline of forests and open spaces, studies show that rates of depression, anxiety, and substance abuse are increasing - including children.
But studies also show that reconnecting with nature can improve the quality of life. The greatest hurdles are twofold: combating nature phobia, and educating humans that spending time in nature must not be viewed as leisure time! It is vital for our health.
