JLR is situated in a picturesque forest (right outside Mullica Hill NJ) and is the perfect venue for existing organizations and support groups to hold meetings or special events.
It is our hope that connecting with nature
will bring every participant some joy, healing
and hope. We rely on donations and
the rental of this venue by other groups
to open the path for those in need
at no cost to them.
With the ever-growing reliance on technology and the decline of forests and open spaces, studies show that rates of depression, anxiety, and substance abuse are increasing.
But studies also show that reconnecting with nature can improve the quality of life. The greatest hurdles are twofold: combating nature phobia, and educating humans that spending time in nature must not be viewed as leisure time! It is vital for our health.
